some of the last rays of direct sunlight over the classic view of waterton/waterton lakes park seen from the lawn of the lodge. i was quite taken by the dichotomy of the light rays and dramatic shadow contrast to my right and what looked like the middle of the day on my left. 180 degree panorama stitched from 34 individual photos.

building storm clouds massing over what’s left of Turtle Mountain and the infamous landslide in Frank, Alberta. the rubble stretches across the entire valley, with the highway cut through the middle. it’s difficult in a photograph to express just how massively far the face of Turtle Mountain traveled when it slid. i’ve presented it as a 180 degree panoramic view of the valley.
